Godo, Bandit Warlord + Helm of the Host

Overview
If you have Godo, Bandit Warlord and a Helm of the Host in play (and the Helm is attached to Godo at the relevant beginning-of-combat), Helm will create a nonlegendary, hasty token copy of Godo at the beginning of combat. That token entering the battlefield will cause its Godo enter-the-battlefield ability to trigger, letting you search your library for an Equipment and put it onto the battlefield. Equip activation is an activated ability that must be paid as a sorcery , and an Equipment put onto the battlefield by Godo’s ability enters the battlefield unattached . The token copy’s ETB will trigger and function normally with respect to enters-the-battlefield abilities [Ruling 2018-04-27]. When a Godo (including a token copy) attacks for the first time that turn, its attack-triggered ability creates an additional combat phase immediately after that combat phase (you do not get an intervening main phase) [Ruling 2020-08-07].
Step 1
You cast Godo; when it enters the battlefield its triggered ability may search your library for an Equipment and put that Equipment onto the battlefield (that is Godo's oracle text). An Equipment put onto the battlefield this way enters unattached .
Step 2
To have Helm create copies at the beginning of combat, Helm must be attached to the creature you want copied. Attaching via Helm’s equip ability requires activating Equip as an activated ability, which can only be done any time you could cast a sorcery .
Step 3
At the beginning of combat on your turn, Helm’s triggered ability (its oracle text) will create a token that’s a copy of the equipped creature. The Helm token instruction makes the token nonlegendary and gives it haste (Helm’s oracle text).
Step 4
When the token copy of Godo enters the battlefield, any enters-the-battlefield abilities it has (including Godo’s ‘search your library for an Equipment’ ability) will trigger and function normally [Ruling 2018-04-27].
Step 5
When those ETB triggers resolve you may put an Equipment card from your library onto the battlefield; that Equipment enters unattached . If you put another Helm onto the battlefield this way, that Helm will not retroactively have triggered at this beginning-of-combat step because Helm’s create-token trigger triggers at the beginning of combat and that timing has already passed [Ruling 2018-04-27].
Step 6
Because Helm’s token copy gains haste, the token Godo can attack the same turn; when it attacks for the first time that turn its attack-triggered ability will trigger and, if it resolves, untap and create an additional combat phase immediately after this combat phase (you do not get another main phase between these combats) [Ruling 2020-08-07].
Resolution
With Helm of the Host equipped to Godo at the beginning of combat, Helm will make a nonlegendary, hasty token copy of Godo; that token’s enter-the-battlefield triggered ability may search your library for an Equipment and put it onto the battlefield [Ruling 2018-04-27] (and that Equipment enters unattached ). To attach Helm to a creature you must activate its equip ability, an activated ability that can be activated only any time you could cast a sorcery . Godo’s attack-triggered additional combat phase happens immediately after the first combat phase and does not create another main phase [Ruling 2020-08-07].
