Overview
With Life and Limb active, a Forest that enters the battlefield under your control is both a Forest land and a 1/1 green Saproling creature, so Sporemound will see a land entering and its Landfall ability will trigger. Step 1
Start with Life and Limb on the battlefield and Sporemound under your control.
Step 2
You play a Forest card (playing a land is a special action and is performed when you have priority during a main phase) .
Step 3
As the Forest is put onto the battlefield, Life and Limb’s continuous effect makes all Forests also 1/1 green Saproling creatures in addition to being Forest lands (so the entering object is simultaneously a land and a creature) and per the official ruling forests enter as land creatures [Ruling 2021-03-19].
