Scurry of Squirrels
Tymna the Weaver
AI DraftFeb 26, 2026

Scurry of Squirrels + Tymna the Weaver

Overview
When you attack with Scurry of Squirrels under multiplayer (attack-multiple-players) rules, Scurry’s myriad ability creates tapped attacking token copies for each other opponent; you choose which opponent or which planeswalker each token is attacking as they are created (Ruling [2024-07-26]). Each token is a separate attacking creature for the purpose of combat, so each token (and the original Scurry) that deals combat damage to a player will: (A) cause its own “Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player…” triggered ability to trigger, and (B) cause that opponent to be considered an opponent that was dealt combat damage this turn for Tymna the Weaver’s postcombat main-phase ability (see and ).
Step 1
Declare attackers: declare Scurry of Squirrels as an attacker (see ).
Step 2
Myriad creates tokens: when Scurry’s myriad ability resolves, you create token copies for each other opponent; as each token is created you choose whether that token is attacking that opponent or a planeswalker they control (Ruling [2024-07-26] and ).
Step 3
Tokens enter combat tapped and attacking: each token is an attacking creature that will be assigned to the defending player (or that player’s planeswalker) you chose when it was created (, ).
Step 4
Combat damage step: each Scurry (original and each token) that deals combat damage to a player deals combat damage; each such instance of dealing combat damage triggers that creature’s “Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player…” ability (the trigger is tied to the specific creature that dealt the damage).
Step 5
Postcombat main phase: Tymna’s triggered ability looks at how many opponents were dealt combat damage this turn and lets you pay that much life to draw that many cards; each opponent who took combat damage from either the original Scurry or any token is counted separately for Tymna’s X ().
Step 6
Cleanup for tokens: the myriad tokens are exiled at end of combat (this is part of Scurry’s oracle text and is enforced after combat).
Resolution
Each opponent dealt combat damage by the original Scurry or by any myriad token copies counts separately toward Tymna the Weaver’s X (the number of opponents that were dealt combat damage this turn). Each Scurry token that deals combat damage to a player also independently triggers its Scurry damage trigger to put a +1/+1 counter on a target creature you control. You choose which opponent or planeswalker each token is attacking when the token is created (Ruling [2024-07-26]) and the defending player relevant to each token is the player that token was attacking when it became an attacking creature (, ).
