Basking Broodscale + Rosie Cotton of South Lane
Overview
If you put a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale (for example by activating its Adapt), Broodscale’s triggered ability can create a Spawn token; that token’s creation will trigger Rosie Cotton of South Lane, letting you put a +1/+1 counter on a creature you control (you may target the Broodscale, including the token you just created) [Ruling 2023-06-16]. That counter being put on Broodscale can itself trigger Broodscale again, so you can repeat the create-token → Rosie trigger → put a counter → Broodscale-trigger loop — Broodscale’s create-token trigger is optional, so the loop stops whenever you choose not to create a Spawn. That event (one or more +1/+1 counters were put on Broodscale) causes Broodscale’s triggered ability to trigger: you may create a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn token.
Step 3
If you choose to create the Spawn, the Spawn token is created. The creation of a token causes Rosie Cotton’s triggered ability to trigger (Rosie reads “Whenever you create a token…”). Ruling [2023-06-16] confirms you may target the newly created token with Rosie’s ability, or you may target Broodscale or another creature you control.

As Rosie’s trigger resolves, you put a +1/+1 counter on the target creature you chose (for the loop you typically choose Broodscale).
Step 5
Putting that +1/+1 counter on Broodscale causes Broodscale’s counter-trigger to trigger again (the same as step 2). Because Broodscale’s create-token trigger is a may ability, you can choose whether to create another Spawn token.
Step 6
If you choose yes, repeat steps 3–5; if you choose no on Broodscale’s may ability, the loop stops.
Resolution
When Broodscale gets a +1/+1 counter (e.g. from Adapt), Broodscale’s “Whenever one or more +1/+1 counters are put on this creature, you may create a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn” ability will trigger. If you create that Spawn, Rosie Cotton’s “Whenever you create a token, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control other than Rosie Cotton” ability will trigger and may target Broodscale (you can target the Broodscale or the newly created token per Ruling [2023-06-16]). When Rosie’s trigger resolves and puts a counter on Broodscale, Broodscale’s counter trigger will trigger again, and you may choose to create another Spawn. This produces a controllable loop because Broodscale’s create-token ability is a may ability; you choose whether to create each Spawn. [Ruling 2023-06-16]
