AI DraftFeb 26, 2026

Bladewing the Risen + Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm + Terror of the Peaks

Overview
If you have Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm on the battlefield and Bladewing the Risen's enter-the-battlefield ability returns Terror of the Peaks from your graveyard to the battlefield, Miirym will trigger and create a token copy of Terror (the token isn’t legendary). That token entering will cause the original Terror of the Peaks to trigger and deal damage equal to the token’s power to any target. The token copies the copiable values of Terror per (see Ruling [2022-06-10]) and the damage is based on the entering creature’s power as the Terror trigger resolves per Ruling [2020-06-23].
Step 1
Bladewing the Risen enters the battlefield; its "When Bladewing enters, you may return target Dragon permanent card from your graveyard to the battlefield" triggered ability is put on the stack.
Step 2
That triggered ability resolves and returns the targeted Dragon permanent card (for example, Terror of the Peaks) from your graveyard to the battlefield under your control (see ).
Step 3
Terror of the Peaks entering the battlefield creates any triggers that watch for creatures entering; Miirym, if already on the battlefield, sees a nontoken Dragon entering and its triggered ability is put on the stack.
Step 4
When Miirym’s triggered ability resolves it creates a token that is a copy of the Dragon that entered, except the token isn’t legendary. The token is created as a copy under the copying rules (; see Ruling [2022-06-10]).
Step 5
That token entering the battlefield is a separate event; Terror of the Peaks (the original) sees "another creature you control enters" and its triggered ability is put on the stack.
Step 6
When Terror’s triggered ability resolves it deals damage equal to the entering creature’s power to any target. The damage amount is based on the entering creature’s power as the Terror trigger resolves (Ruling [2020-06-23]).
Resolution
When Bladewing’s ETB ability returns Terror of the Peaks from your graveyard, Terror enters the battlefield (see ). Miirym sees that nontoken Dragon entering and its triggered ability creates a token copy of that Dragon (the token isn’t legendary). The token is a copy under the rules for copying objects (; see Ruling [2022-06-10]). When that token enters, Terror’s triggered ability triggers and will deal damage equal to the entering creature’s power (use the creature’s power as it exists when the Terror trigger resolves; if it left before resolution use last-known information) (Ruling [2020-06-23]).
