Mana Geyser
Reiterate
AI DraftFeb 26, 2026

Mana Geyser + Reiterate

Overview
You may cast Reiterate targeting Mana Geyser to make a copy of that sorcery. The copy is put onto the stack under the Reiterate controller’s control and resolves first, adding {R} for each tapped land that player’s opponents control at the time the copy resolves; when the original Mana Geyser later resolves it will add {R} for each tapped land that that spell’s controller’s opponents control at that later time. The buyback on Reiterate, if paid as you cast it, causes Reiterate to return to its owner’s hand as it resolves .
Step 1
Cast Mana Geyser: the Geyser spell is put on the stack and will resolve later unless countered.
Step 2
While Mana Geyser is on the stack, cast Reiterate (paying any buyback now if you intend to) and target the Mana Geyser spell with Reiterate per the casting rules and Reiterate’s text .
Step 3
Reiterate resolves: its effect is to put a copy of the targeted Mana Geyser onto the stack. That copy is a spell on the stack, is owned and controlled by the player whose Reiterate resolved, and has the same characteristics and decisions as the original .
Step 4
The copy of Mana Geyser is placed onto the stack above the original, so the copy will resolve first. When the copy resolves, it adds {R} for each tapped land the copy’s controller’s opponents control at that moment; that mana is added to that player’s mana pool.
Step 5
After the copy resolves and leaves the stack (copies cease to exist if they are in zones other than the stack ), the original Mana Geyser remains on the stack and will resolve later. When the original resolves it adds {R} for each tapped land that original Geyser’s controller’s opponents control at that later moment.
Step 6
If Reiterate’s buyback cost was paid as it was cast, Reiterate is returned to its owner’s hand as Reiterate resolves instead of going to the graveyard .
Resolution
Casting Reiterate targeting Mana Geyser creates a copy of Mana Geyser that’s a spell on the stack controlled and owned by the player whose Reiterate resolved; that copy resolves first and produces red mana equal to the number of tapped lands that player’s opponents control at that time. The original Mana Geyser then resolves separately and produces mana based on the number of tapped lands its controller’s opponents control when it resolves. If buyback was paid on Reiterate, Reiterate is returned to its owner’s hand as it resolves .
