Fire Lord Zuko + Hellkite Charger

Overview
Both Fire Lord Zuko and Hellkite Charger have triggered abilities that trigger when they attack . Those triggers go on the stack; you (the controller) order them . Fire Lord Zuko’s firebending trigger ("add X {R}") will produce mana when that triggered ability resolves . Hellkite Charger’s attack trigger is a triggered ability that, as it resolves, gives you the option to pay {5}{R}{R}; you make that payment decision as Hellkite Charger’s triggered ability resolves [Ruling [2009-10-01]] and the ability then untaps all attacking creatures and creates an additional combat phase after this phase (if you paid), which lets you attack with creatures again in that extra combat because they are untapped at the start of the next combat’s declare attackers step and .
Step 1
Declare attackers. Both Fire Lord Zuko’s "Whenever this creature attacks" trigger and Hellkite Charger’s "Whenever this creature attacks" trigger trigger at the same time because each creature was declared as an attacker .
Step 2
When those triggers are placed on the stack, you (the controller of both) put them on the stack in the order you choose .
Step 3
Resolve the topmost triggered ability on the stack . If you resolved Fire Lord Zuko’s trigger first, its effect adds X red mana to your mana pool (X = Fire Lord Zuko’s power) and that mana lasts until end of combat (per Zuko’s oracle text) .
Step 4
Next, resolve the next triggered ability. When Hellkite Charger’s triggered ability resolves you decide whether to pay {5}{R}{R} as it resolves [Ruling [2009-10-01]]; you may pay using any available mana, including mana produced earlier by Zuko’s resolved trigger if it’s still in your mana pool .
Step 5
If you pay Hellkite Charger’s cost as its triggered ability resolves, untap all attacking creatures (they become untapped immediately) and create an additional combat phase after this phase. That additional combat phase occurs after the current combat and the game proceeds to it when the current phase(s) finish .
Step 6
Because the creatures were untapped by Hellkite’s resolved ability, on the additional combat’s declare attackers step you can declare them as attackers again (they are no longer tapped and so are eligible to be declared) and .
Resolution
When both creatures attack, both "Whenever this creature attacks" triggers trigger and are put on the stack; you order them when the triggers are put on the stack . If you want the mana from Fire Lord Zuko’s trigger to be available to pay Hellkite Charger’s optional cost, put Zuko’s trigger on the stack above Hellkite Charger’s so Zuko’s resolves first and produces X red mana that lasts until end of combat (per Zuko’s text) . When Hellkite Charger’s trigger resolves you decide whether to pay {5}{R}{R} as it resolves [Ruling [2009-10-01]]; if you pay, Hellkite’s ability untaps all attacking creatures and creates an additional combat phase after this phase . If you do not pay (or cannot pay) when Hellkite’s ability resolves, you can’t retroactively pay later for that instance of the ability .
