Clock of Omens + Descent into Avernus + Strionic Resonator
Overview
When Descent into Avernus’s upkeep ability triggers, Strionic Resonator can copy that triggered ability on the stack (Ruling [2018-03-16]). Clock of Omens can untap Strionic between activations by paying its activated ability’s cost (tapping two untapped artifacts), allowing you to activate Strionic multiple times to create multiple copies of the Descent trigger (the copies each resolve separately and each will add descent counters and create tokens/damage when they resolve).
Step 1
At the beginning of your upkeep Descent into Avernus’s ability triggers and is placed on the stack.
Step 2
You may activate Strionic Resonator (

Strionic becomes tapped as part of paying its activation cost and the copy is now on the stack waiting to resolve.
Step 4
If you want another copy, activate Clock of Omens by tapping two untapped artifacts you control as its cost and target Strionic to untap it (Clock’s ability will go on the stack and, when it resolves, Strionic will become untapped).
Step 5
With Strionic untapped again you may pay , to activate it again targeting any triggered ability currently on the stack (the original Descent trigger or any copy that's still on the stack) to create another copy (Ruling [2018-03-16]).

Repeat the Clock untap + Strionic activation loop as long as you have the required untapped artifacts to pay Clock’s tap-two-artifacts cost and the mana to pay Strionic’s cost for each additional copy.

Each copy (and the original) resolves in last-in/first-out order; every time a copy (or the original) resolves it will put two descent counters on the enchantment and then create X Treasures and deal X damage where X equals the number of descent counters on the enchantment at that moment (so later resolutions see more counters and produce more tokens/damage).
Resolution
You may use Strionic Resonator to copy Descent into Avernus’s triggered ability on the stack (Ruling [2018-03-16]). Clock of Omens can be used between activations to untap Strionic by tapping two untapped artifacts as its activation cost; with sufficient additional artifacts and mana you can repeat: tap Strionic to copy the trigger, use Clock + another untapped artifact to untap Strionic, then tap Strionic again to copy again.
