Overview

If you control Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and you activate Viscera Seer’s “Sacrifice a creature: Scry 1” ability by sacrificing a non-Human creature that has no +1/+1 counters, that creature is sacrificed (put into the graveyard), Mikaeus’s granted undying triggers , and the Viscera Seer ability then resolves and scries 1. The undying trigger will resolve later and return the creature to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter (so it won’t undy again unless the counter is removed) and state-based actions and the trigger/stack ordering are handled as described in the rules .

Step 1

Activate Viscera Seer’s ability and pay its cost by sacrificing a creature (the creature is put into its owner’s graveyard as part of paying the cost).

Step 2

When the creature is put into the graveyard from the battlefield and it had no +1/+1 counters, the undying trigger granted by Mikaeus triggers and is waiting to be put on the stack and state-based actions are checked as part of the normal priority sequence .

Step 3

After state-based actions are checked and any are performed, waiting triggered abilities (including the creature’s undying trigger) are placed on the stack .

Step 4

The Viscera Seer ability is already on the stack (it was the activated ability you just paid costs for) and will eventually resolve; when it resolves you scry 1.

Step 5

When the undying trigger resolves, the creature returns to the battlefield under its owner’s control with a +1/+1 counter on it, per undying’s instruction .

Resolution

You may sacrifice a non-Human creature to Viscera Seer and get a scry; Mikaeus’s undying will trigger when that creature is put into the graveyard and, assuming it had no +1/+1 counters, that triggered ability will return it to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter when it resolves and triggered abilities are placed on the stack after state-based actions are checked .
