Step 1

You announce activation of Warren Soultrader’s ability and put that activated ability on the stack following the process in .

Step 2

As part of paying the activation costs you pay 1 life (subtracted from your life total per ) and sacrifice another creature; sacrificing the creature puts it into its owner’s graveyard immediately as a result of paying a cost .

Step 3

The creature’s death is an event that causes Blood Artist’s triggered ability to trigger; if multiple creatures die simultaneously, Blood Artist triggers once for each such creature [Ruling 2016-06-08].

Step 4

Those Blood Artist triggered abilities are created and placed on the stack after state-based actions are performed and before the Soultrader activated ability resolves (normal triggered-ability timing per ).
